Event note: BGS at IMRP19 (April 1 – 5, 2019)

“Where Business and Science Connect”: Under this motto, the International Irradiation Association (iia) has invited the players in the irradiation industry to its 19th industry get-together, the International Meeting on Radiation Processing (IMRP). Organised in intervals of 2 to 3 years, this major international event is returning to Europe in 2019: Strasbourg will host the IMRP event from April 1 – 5, 2019. In workshops and talks, researchers, developers and entrepreneurs will present and discuss trends and new opportunities in the sterilisation technology and radiation crosslinking.

BGS will be represented at IMRP19 with three talks on the following topics:

  • Monday, April 1, 2019:
“Building a gamma irradiator in times of homeland security experiences from Germany”
    Dr. Andreas Ostrowicki, Managing Director
  • Tuesday, April 2, 2019
    “New Opportunities in Radiation Crosslinking”
    Dr. Andreas Ostrowicki, Managing Director
  • Wednesday, April 3, 2019:
“Cutting-edge technologies for irradiation crosslinking and sterilisation in industrial processes”
Dr. Dirk Fischer, Head of Application Development

In addition, visitors to IMRP19 have the possibility to register for a tour of the BGS plant in Bruchsal. Amongst other things, participants await an insight into the production processes of the world’s most modern gamma radiation plant. The guided tour begins on Friday, April 5 at 8:30 a.m. in Strasbourg and ends about 1:00 p.m. in Bruchsal.
